London Magician - Fundraising Shows, Birthday Parties and Dulwich Park Fair
On Friday I visited a school in N. London for the 4th time for a Fundraising Show - again a packed house and asking me when I'm coming next so see you all next year.
On Saturday I had two 7yr old Birthday Parties, one in Herne Hill and one in Ealing. When I arrived in Ealing lots of the kids had seen me before recently at another children's birthday party so I had to do some quick thinking and change the tricks a bit which kept it fresh and magical. Parents of both were very happy and full of praise.
On Sunday I did Dulwich Park Fair and all three magic shows were well attended. tt's now been going 11yrs and I've been there at every one of them. Lots of people coming up and saying how much they enjoyed the Magic Show or that I've been to their children's birthday party or wedding etc. Great to catch up with some of them
On Monday I was in the Isle of Dogs for a Primary School that had been learing about Magic. In the end all of KS2 was invited and I really find these shows to be so rewarding. The kids have a great time - no lessons and are up for it, the teachers have no lessons and are up for it but also because it's in school there is a certain line they have to adhere too and for this reason it's a win win situation.
Today I had my Magic Club in Dulwich Hamlet and we learnt one card trick, a trick with paper clips and spinning plates.
Last Saturday my power to the house was cut of and it took 48 hours to get it back. Back to candles, no wifi, no screens, no computers, no computer games to me it was bliss and I may cut the power next time. Power restored and grateful for a line of electricity from the neighbour so our freezer didn't melt!!
