London Magician / Children's Entertainer Puncture Woes
On Friday I did another Fudraising Magic Show for Prep School in Sutton. The event was sold out (again) and many more requests for tickets on the day!! Lots of positive comments from parents that came to the event and said they had enjoyed it as much as the children.
On Saturday I had a two hour magic Show in Pratts Bottom in Bromley. Wonderful location and felt I had left the city behind with the opens spaces and green fields. The rabbit was a big hit and everything went to plan with all the fun and games and spinning plates. Everything went according to plan.
On Sunday things started to go wrong. I set off to my show and found my car grounding on the speed humps. I drove slower but still had the same issue. The car also looked lopsided so I got out to have a look and say the passanger side tyre was completely deflated with air coming out of the puncture. I tried to find the spare wheel - no easy task - it was under the drivers seat!! Eventually found a way to lower it (from inside the car) and eventually managed to get it detatched from the wire that was holding it into place.
Then jacked up the car and took off all the nuts except for the wheel locking nut. Found this in the back but it didn't fit!!! I then had to tighten the other nuts back on and dejack the car. Filled it with air from a pump and managed to limp to a Qwick Fit. Managed to get the wheel locking nut off and then went through the whole procedure again. Finally got the spare on and then headed up to Harrow on the Hill for a children's birthday party. Managed to clean myself up on the journey and arrived with about 5 minutes to spare. The kids had a ball and were a great bunch to work with. I guess these things are sent to try us but I could have throttled the driver who told me to wave my magic wand to fix it!!
