Every year, magicians from across the globe pack their bags and head to the Winter Gardens for the legendary Blackpool Magic Convention.
As a professional magician in London, keeping my routines sharp, fresh, and mind-boggling is my top priority. And let me tell you, Blackpool 2026 did not disappoint. Whether I’m performing close-up illusions as Amigo at a corporate gala, or bringing the chaotic fun as Amigo at a children’s party, returning from Blackpool always means I’m bringing back a suitcase full of new miracles.

What is the Blackpool Magic Convention?
For those outside the magic circle (pun absolutely intended), the Blackpool Magic Convention is the largest gathering of magicians in the world. Imagine thousands of illusionists, mind-readers, and sleight-of-hand artists taking over an entire town.
From 8:00 AM until the early hours of the morning, it’s non-stop magic. We attend lectures from the greatest minds in the industry, watch grand illusion stage shows, and, most importantly, hit the dealer halls. The dealer hall is where the real magic happens, it’s where inventors debut the secret gimmicks and tricks they’ve spent years perfecting.
The Best New Magic of 2026
This year, the energy in the room was electric. I spent hours catching up with old friends, trading secrets in the halls of the Ruskin Hotel, and hunting down the best new effects to add to my repertoire.
Without giving away too many secrets, I got my hands on some incredible new pieces that I cannot wait to debut. The buzz around the dealer hall this year was all about hyper-visual, impossible magic. I picked up some brilliant new close-up routines that happen right in the spectator’s hands, perfect for breaking the ice at wedding receptions and gala dinners.
